Immen és el nom artístic de Clasine Haringsma, cantant i guitarrista resident a Utrecht. Les seues cançons aborden incerteses vitals i sentiments profunds amb una veu càlida i etèria que servix de consol.
Clasine Haringsma va deixar la casa dels seus pares a Frísia (al nord dels Països Baixos) als dènou anys per anar a viure a la ciutat d’Utrecht. Ara, Clasine es fa dir Immen i canta profundament i amb emoció sobre aquelles coses de les quals no era capaç d’expressar-se en veu alta. Amb el gest de cantar en frisó, Immen aconseguix una connexió més directa i propera amb les seues lletres, que emergixen entre un mar de sons frescos i onírics. Després de l’EP Split, que va veure la llum en maig de 2022, el passat mes de març va publicar el seu disc de debut: 𝘕𝘪𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯 (“Ningú”).
Clasine Haringsma, Immen, fa servir el frisó, la llengua dels seus avantpassats. Es tracta d’una llengua germànica que es parla a tres zones: els Països Baixos (al nord); a Alemanya (al nord de l’estat de Schleswig-Holstein, al nord del país; i a la Baixa Saxònia, al nord-oest); i a Dinamarca. Té semblances amb l’anglés, amb vocals molt obertes i tres gèneres gramaticals. Dins les variants dialectals, el frisó oriental (Alemanya – Baixa Saxònia) i septentrional (Alemanya – Schleswig-Holstein) estan en perill molt greu. En canvi, el frisó occidental (Països Baixos) manté certa vitalitat gràcies al suport institucional i el seu caràcter cooficial.
